Small Scale. Big Impact.
Our Farm
-
Dream it.
It all began with an idea. Was it possible to provide our family with food that was grown and raised by us?
While living in our suburban neighborhood, the thought of a family milk cow , fresh eggs and a large garden was always on our mind.
We wanted to know exactly where our food came from, what was put on it and how it was treated.
-
Build it.
Every decision about our farm was made with family in mind.
We furthered our knowledge through programs such as the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture’s Master Small Ruminant Program, the Rutgers Beginner Farmer Training Program and the National Farmers Union's Beginning Farmer Institute and took a leap of faith.
We meticulously selected our livestock for superior genetics and herd health histories.
Our cattle are tested yearly for BVD, BLV and Johnes disease while our goats are screened annually for CAE, CL and Johnes disease.
All results have been negative to date.
-
Grow it.
One of the biggest challenges as first-generation farmers is access to land.
In addition to our farm in Moorestown, we are fortunate enough to lease growing space in Cream Ridge, NJ.
As our business blossoms, we hope to someday have a more permanent way to support expansion all in one place.
We believe in treating the earth with care and therefore utilize Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) approved methods on our farm.
